I am a postdoctoral researcher at ICSI working with Serge Egelman. Prior to that, I spent a semester as visiting faculty at LUMS in Pakistan. I earned my PhD from Saarland University and CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security, where I was lucky to be advised by Katharina Krombholz.

My research lies in the broad area of human-centered security and privacy, and is driven by the goal of realizing a more secure, privacy-preserving, and inclusive Internet. To this end, my recent work focuses on:

  • Examining the socio-technical dimensions of securing Internet infrastructures

  • Understanding barriers that hinder secure, equitable use of Internet technologies, particularly for marginalized or underserved populations

I publish my work in leading security and human–computer interaction venues, including USENIX Security, ACM CCS, NDSS, and ACM CHI.
